Head Coach Dai Flanagan insists it is vital that Dragons continue to make Rodney Parade a difficult place for any team to come.
Flanagan has been delighted by the manner of the two home performances so far this season as Munster were defeated before Cell C Sharks were pushed all the way.
The two games in the BKT United Rugby Championship have also been played out to background of a passionate and vocal home crowd that have cranked up the volume.
“It’s Rodney Parade and I didn’t win here much as a player, if ever. I only won here once as a coach last year,” said Flanagan.
“Nobody should come here looking forward to this. Especially watching our boys put their body on the line for each other. It is tough to play against.
“We are still trying to find our identity and we have got to start believing in each other even more.
“There is loads of belief in that changing room of where we can get to – but there is loads more to come.
“That is what excites me and what should excite the fans when they come to watch us.”
Next up for Dragons is an away trip to Italy and Stadio Monigo to face Benetton Rugby.
And Flanagan has indicted he is looking to freshen up his squad after two bruising home dates.
“We know what we are going up against after Benetton beat the Scarlets,” he said, after the Italians’ 34-23 in Treviso.
“It’s important that the squad dust themselves down and I am sure there will be some changes because we have been pretty much the same team for three weeks.
“We’ve got the derbies coming up and I haven’t been here long enough to know our best team.
“There will be opportunities for players coming in and we will back the players that we pick.”
